The American president wants to expel Haitian immigrants from the United States. Donald Trump has promised to carry out the largest deportation operation in history, he has also decided to restrict TPS, the temporary protection status granted to thousands of Haitians. It was supposed to last until 2026, but will finally end in August 2025. Our correspondent in New York, Loubna Anaki went to Little Haiti where she collected testimonies from Haitians who live in fear of expulsion and do not dare to take their children to school, go to work, go shopping or go out at night. The majority of them are in a regular situation, many of them live and work legally in the United States thanks to TPS, this temporary protection program whose future is uncertain.
